Phnom Penh , Sept. 10 - Former opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party leader Kem Sokha was released on bail on Monday, according to a trusted source Knowledge Partner received at 4:30 a.m today.
Sokha was arrested at his house in Toul Kok, Phnom Penh at 00:35 am on 3 September 2017. He appeared in a video published by CBN, speaking of his plans supported by foreigners to topple the legitimate government of Cambodia. Charged with “conspiring with foreigners”, his offence subjects to a penalty of 15 to 30 years imprisonment based on Criminal Code.
